Automated conveyor system for AutoStore service – GymBeam

We designed and delivered an automated conveyor system for AutoStore service (Element Logic) for the Slovak company GymBeam, one of the fastest growing e-commerce players in the fitness and healthy lifestyle sector in Europe.

With extensive automation, GymBeam can speed up and streamline order picking. Our system enables the processing of more than 2,500 shipments per hour, making a significant contribution to the overall efficiency of logistics processes.

The supplier of the electrical part and the control system of the entire conveyor line is our long-standing and strategic partner Amsoft, s.r.o. On this order, we have once again confirmed that our cooperation is the key to success – even with extremely tight deadlines, we have jointly brought the project to a successful conclusion.

Solution Description

The conveyor system is designed to distribute two sizes of empty cartons to the picking ports of the AutoStore system. It serves workstations on two floors – ground floor (0th floor) and mezzanine (1st floor). Currently 10 picking stations are supplied with the possibility of future expansion to 20.

Each box is labelled at the entrance with an internal label from the label printer. The worker at the port pairs the box with the order by reading the QR code, then inserts the goods and moves the prepared shipment to the main transport route.

Controlled Shipment Flow

Port workstations are equipped with a pair of slides for manual carton picking. The finished consignment is registered by the system and is inserted onto the backbone conveyor within the correct time window based on a light instruction.

The shipments pass through a checkpoint with a dynamic scale where their weight is verified. Next, they are directed to the sealing machines (sealers) according to their dimensions, affixed with a shipping label and led to the output sorter.
